Every circle runs on roles, not hidden hierarchies. Roles make it clear who holds responsibility so work is transparent and no one carries more than they should. 👉 No shadow bosses. Everyone can see who carries what.

📌 More than one person can share a role if that supports balance and collaboration. This follows TEAL practices of distributing power.

• Accountabilities → What the role is responsible for
• Authorities → What the role can decide
• Time Commitment → How much energy it usually takes

🌱 How to Step In

Roles are not fixed positions. Anyone can grow into them through:

• Progression paths → Start as a contributor, then take on small responsibilities, then step into a role
• Elections or consent-based selection → Circles can nominate or choose role-holders when needed
• Mentorship → Current role-holders support you in learning before passing on the responsibility

📌 Example: A new member may start helping with documentation, then step into the Admin Facilitator role after a cycle of support.

🧭 The Core 4

Every Sub-Circle begins with four essential roles:

1. Lead Steward → Guides vision and holds activation
2. Rep Steward → Connects to the Parent Circle (Sector HQ)
3. Admin Facilitator → Keeps systems flowing and records updated
4. AI Secretary → Posts updates, metrics, and supports with AI-powered tasks

Other roles may be added as the circle grows, but these four ensure basic health and connection.
