🧭 2.4: How We Decide

Decision-making is how we turn ideas into action.

In this circle, decisions are designed to be simple, transparent, and safe for everyone to engage in.

🌀 Sub-Circle Decision-Making Basics

Every decision checks against three anchors:

1. Purpose → Does this serve why our circle exists
2. Domains → Does this belong inside our circle’s scope
3. Authority → Is this something we can decide here, or does it need to go up to the Sector

👉 If it fits all three, we move forward inside the circle.

✅ The Decision Checklist

We use a simple checklist to keep decisions clear:

• Is it aligned with Purpose, Domains, and Authority
• Is the proposal clear and actionable
• Have members had a chance to raise concerns

🌱 Consent Culture

Our default is consent-based decisions:

• Consent means: Safe enough to try, good enough for now
• We don’t need perfection, only something workable
• Objections are welcome if they reveal risks or gaps we missed

📬 Async-First Flow

Most decisions start async to save meeting time:

• Post the proposal in the circle’s feed
• Members have 48 hours to respond with consent or objection
• If no valid objections are raised, the proposal is adopted

👉 This shows every member: Yes, you can propose something, and here’s how.

🤝 When to Escalate

• If objections cannot be resolved, the steward may bring it to a meeting
• If the decision is outside this circle’s authority, it is referred to the Parent Sector HQ
